Workshops at Letter & Lark
Letter & Lark is a custom letterpress studio located just south of Boston, Massachusetts. A variety of workshops are held in the Letter & Lark studio and involve letterpress printing as well as other forms of art making. The focus of each workshop is to be enjoyable and creatively inspiring, regardless of a student's background or experience level. New workshop schedules are posted seasonally. Private group workshops can be arranged; please inquire for availability and pricing.

Colleen Ellse
Colleen grew up in a creative family of painters and printers, learning to love the process of making things by hand. In 2004, she graduated from the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University, receiving a BFA in Graphic Design. After working as a designer for several years, she took a letterpress workshop and was at once smitten with the entire process, learning all aspects of printing and deciding that this was where her heart was. She studied under several printers for over two years before launching her own freelance design and letterpress services in 2009, and then launching her studio, Letter & Lark, in 2012. Outside of the studio, Colleen is happiest while cooking in the kitchen, digging in the garden, collecting pinecones and seashells, watching Jane Austen movies while drinking a good cuppa, and spending time with her husband and her two cats. Colleen is a member of the Letterpress Guild of New England and is a member of Ladies of Letterpress.
